We are in charge of how we meet together. Chairs and tables do not have to be bolted to the floor in long rows facing a speaker’s platform. The voice of upper management is not the only voice with power. If our current ways of meeting, interacting, speaking, listening, and decision-making are not working we can claim another form of interaction.

Join founders of the PeerSpirit circle process, Christina Baldwin and Ann Linnea, for two and a half days of highly interactive process to practice facilitating significant conversations in circle.

In the preface of their new book, The Circle Way—a Leader in Every Chair (Berrett-Koehler, 2010), business visionary Margaret J. Wheatley writes, “In today’s world dozens, if not hundreds, of group processes are available. In the midst of so much choice, it’s important to remember the long lineage of circle and its role in human community. Circle process is not a technique; it’s a heritage.” Circle is a foundational practice embedded in World Café, Open Space, Dialogue, Art of Hosting, and many hosting methodologies.

Christina and Ann bring decades of experience in group facilitation, teaching, speaking, writing, and leadership skills. They have taught extensively in North America and also in Europe, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. They are hosted for this seminar by Ria Baeck, Belgium coach and facilitator/host of change processes.

Seminar topic areas include:
• Introducing the structure of circle and holding the form in different settings
• Doing agenda-based meetings using circle process
• Circle as an energetic field for authentic speaking and healing conversations
• Exploring what creates and disrupts a healthy circle environment
• Experiencing story as the heart of circle communication

Workshop details
The workshop can be residential or not. Our venue is the Oude Abdij Kortenberg, an old abbey quite close to Brussels. It is a place of peace and rest. Catering is provided by a social project.

We will begin at 17.00 on Monday, Sept.12, 2011, and end the workshop on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 18.00. We will work every day till dinner; with evenings open to offerings from the participants.

We offer different prices, for different financial situations. The workshop fee ranges between €400,- and €700,- (incl. VAT) depending on your situation. Accommodation ranges between €100,- and €150,- (incl. VAT).
